PRELIMINARY NOTICE

IMPACT has decided to conduct a ballot of its membership in the coming weeks to support its call for industrial action.

Meetings to brief CLME members on the current serious threats to pay, pensions and conditions of employment are being organised by the Executive Committee.

These meetings will be in the workplace.

The CEC Executive Committee of IMPACT has decided to conduct a National Ballot to provide the union with a mandate to protect ourselves against the serious threats that now exist to our pay, pensions and conditions of employment.

In order to bring the seriousness of this threat and the surrounding issues home to its membership the CLME Executive has decided to conduct a series of workplace meetings in advance of this ballot.

The CLME Executive is also actively considering its own ballot to protect members interests in the workplace.

These meetings are currently being timetabled and confirmed dates and venues will issue shortly.
